The potential tenant will then contact you to make an appointment. In this way, you can also make arrangements with a possible new tenant for takeovers.

Here are a few tips for the upcoming visit:

• Receive the visitors friendly and make a round through the house together.

• Make sure the house is tidy. Think of tidying up toys, no laundry in the stairwell and make sure the beds are made.

• It is nice if the house looks as light as possible, so that the visitor gets a good impression. Open any net curtains on this day.

• If you have a dog (or cat), make sure the animal is on a leash or take it to neighbours or family. Many people are afraid of dogs, especially large ones, and will not be interested in your home, but in the animal.

• Do you value your privacy? Then put your personal belongings away before the viewing takes place.

• Should the candidate show interest in the property, ask them to let their contact person at vb&t Verhuurmakelaars know as soon as possible that they would like to rent the property.

• Do not make any promises to prospective tenants. This can lead to misunderstandings. Refer candidates directly to us so that we can check whether they meet our allocation criteria. If we have approved a candidate, we will inform you about this. Afterwards, this candidate can contact you to discuss possible acquisition matters.

• Of course, you can indicate to candidates during the viewing which goods you want to offer for takeover and at what price.
