The name De Gebroeders (“The Brothers”) refers to the locations of the two buildings.
“De Lodewijk” is located on the corner of Lodewijk Napoleonlaan and Willemstraat, once home to the well-known Vogelzang store, where all of Eindhoven used to buy its (Philips, of course) radios.
“De Willem” is found just 100 meters further down, on the corner of Willemstraat and Gagelstraat, where the coal trading company Van de Ven & Co once operated.
