DeBuurt: Modern, Sustainable, and Social Living in Utrecht

Kitchen: The apartments in this project feature luxury Bribus kitchens, offering a sleek, modern look with white cabinet fronts and a high-quality anthracite/black composite countertop. Each kitchen is equipped with premium ATAG built-in appliances, including an induction cooktop, extractor hood, fridge/freezer combination or fridge with freezer compartment (depending on the apartment type), combi-oven, and dishwasher. The kitchen layout varies by apartment and is clearly indicated on the floor plans. This combination of stylish design and practical layout ensures that the kitchens are both visually appealing and functional for everyday use.

Bathroom: The bathrooms are designed with comfort and convenience in mind. All apartments come with a modern bathroom, equipped with either a walk-in shower or a shower with folding doors (in the senior-friendly apartments). The bathroom also includes a sink, mirror, and often a separate toilet. In some apartments, a second toilet is located within the bathroom. The wall tiles are white, and the floor tiles are anthracite/black, giving the bathroom a contemporary and serene look. As with the kitchens, the bathroom layout differs per apartment and is shown on the floor plans.

Heating and Climate Control: The apartments are heated with underfloor heating, providing comfortable and even heat distribution while keeping the interiors sleek with no visible radiators. The underfloor heating is connected to an energy-efficient geothermal heat pump (WKO installation). In addition, each apartment is equipped with a heat recovery system, ensuring efficient ventilation and further reducing energy consumption. This makes the apartments not only comfortable but also sustainable and energy-efficient.

Parking: Residents of building B can rent a parking space in building A, while residents of building C have access to parking in their own building. Both parking garages have their own entrance and exit, controlled by barriers exclusively for residents. Visitors can enter the garage through a separate access door via an intercom system, providing added safety and convenience.

Sustainability: The apartments in DeBuurt are designed with a strong focus on sustainability. Solar panels are installed on the rooftops, and the energy generated is used directly in the communal areas or fed back into the electricity grid. Certain apartments are connected to the solar panels, which not only reduces the environmental impact but also lowers energy costs for the residents. This sustainable approach is a key feature of the project, offering residents a greener and more cost-effective way of living.

General Information: The homes in DeBuurt are developed for a broad audience, from first-time homebuyers to seniors, with or without care needs. The apartments are located across three buildings, which together form the DeBuurt project. The central building houses a unique community space of approximately 2,400 m², where residents from the neighborhood and Utrecht can meet and participate in activities related to art, culture, and dining. This creates a lively and social environment that fosters creativity and entrepreneurship.

Unique Living in Overvecht: Situated on the edge of the Overvecht district, DeBuurt offers a unique residential location that combines the urban dynamics of Utrecht with a friendly and social living environment. The project focuses on healthy urban living, working, and life, promoting interaction and connection between residents. The location, between the green surroundings of Overvecht and the proximity to Utrecht’s city center, makes DeBuurt an attractive option for those seeking a vibrant and engaged community.

In DeBuurt, the emphasis is on togetherness and building a welcoming neighborhood where everyone feels at home.
