Rent increase as of 1 July 2020

This month, many tenants will receive their annual rent increase letter. A rent increase means that the amount you pay each month for the rent of your house is increased. The rent of your house may be increased maximum twice in every 24 months. Usually this takes place annually on 1 July.Soon every tenant of vb&t will receive a rent increase letter. The letter will contain the following information: - Date on which the rent increase will take effect;- Current and new basic rent;- Percentage or amount by which the rent will be increased;- How you can raise objections;- Rules on rent increasesThe rent increase depends on the rules that the government draws up each year and the provisions included in the tenancy agreement. The tenancy agreement states what your landlord has to comply with regarding the rent increase.
